Canine Noir: The Black Dog Project

Fredy Levy.jpg

Fred Levy is a photographer based in Maynard, Massachusetts. He was at a park one day when he overheard a conversation about how black dogs have a harder time getting adopted because of their coat color. This conversation inspired him to create "The Black Dog Project".

"The Black Dog Project" is a series of photographs depicting dogs of all breeds who have black colored coats. Levy takes these photographs in his home. You can view the entire collection on his Tumblr Blog - Canine Noir. You can also submit your own photos of your black dog to post on his blog.
