Heat Advisory

We are expecting a heat advisory to take affect this weekend with temperatures in the mid 90's. Please keep your pets inside with plenty of fresh water and a cool dry place to sleep. Pets can suffer from heatstroke just like us. Symptoms include excessive panting, dehydration, excessive drooling, increased body temperature, vomiting, and weakness. Dogs cannot perspire the way we can - the only have sweat glands in their paw pads. They are at a very high risk for overheating when it is warm outside. If you believe your pet is suffering from heat stroke take them to a cool place immediately and contact your veterinarian.
